Join us for an evening with Spirit, as Journalist Jenniffer Weigel (author of "Psychics, Healers and Mediums -- A Journalist, a Roadtrip and Voices from the Other Side) interviews the Reverend Marrice Coverson -- the Pastor of the Church of the Spirit in Chicago which was founded in 1897. The religion of Spiritualism was founded in the US in 1848. Their belief is that the spirit can live on after death and be contacted through mediumship. During the time of Abraham Lincoln  it's thought that at least one person in every household was a Spiritualist. Marrice has been using her mediumship abilities since childhood. She will discuss the history of Spiritualism, followed by giving select readings to the crowd.
